This is for home rolled cables using DE-9 connector - 9 Pin D-Sub, serial, whatever you want to call it. 15 Pin (VGA) should work as well.

This is an alternate version to my other plug enclosure. I thought not needing to fiddle with screws would work better.

1. Print on 3D printer - I used ABS on a Makerbot
2. Roll the cable
3. Epoxy the shell together.
4. Enjoy plug'n'lock Nerdvana

The retaining clips are easy to bend, so you can open the connection.

If you prefer to have non locking plugs, just use two of the inner shell for an easy push together, pull apart homemade cable.

Have not tested how weather tight they are, yet. May need some kind of foam/rubber O ring to properly seal it. But in the meantime, they make a great connector for your projects and they look great when printed raftless!

Earlier version has 4-40 screws holding them together. If there is interest in the screw together version vs. the glue together version I will clean them up and post them as well.
