This is a simple but elegant little heart shaped box for Valentine's Day. Fill it with candy, jewelry or anything your Valentine likes and it's sure to be a hit!

The cut-out hearts in the lid show the contents or print the lid insert in a complimentary or contrasting color for a little "pop"!

The box is 3-1/3" / 85mm tall and 3/4" / 20mm tall.

The box is printed in two parts - a base and a lid. I like to print the lid with no skin/shell so the fill pattern shows through. This gives an interesting design element. The insert is simply a thin heart that you can print in a complimentary or contrasting color and insert in the lid. It will be seen through the cut out hearts and the open fill pattern. I like to print the insert in clear/white transparent PLA, it looks great showing through red.

You'll want to finagle your perimeter settings so the four small hearts in the center are "connected". My nozzle is .4mm and I used 4 perimeters. This gives a nice border around these little hearts and the box top itself.

The darker red one is a wine color PLA. You can mix and match tops and bases. Try combinations of red, wine, pink, white, and transparent!
