Descrição
A parametric set of fingers that you can fasten to the wall with double-stick-tape. Holds stuff for you.
Also does double-duty as a filament retract test object -- only one you can use.
Instruções
So yeah. Another cable holder that looks like creepy fingers. Yawn.
But wait! Look at the openSCAD file!
I've been playing around with the hull() command, and I'm convinced it could be the center of a very powerful modelling strategy. In particular, the sequentialHull() function in this file is great.
You just pass it a list of objects and it hulls them together pairwise. The fingers here were created from a stubby cylinder and three spheres. The cylinder gives you a thick round attachment point and the (flattened) spheres define the finger. Easy-peasy, organic shapes/paths/etc.
Where this strategy shines is the: "I need a hole here and another there, and something to hold it together" scenario. Play with the code, you'll see what I mean.
