A remix of Tech2C's design using no printed parts, my answer to classic Catch 22 when it comes to building a 3D printer with no access to one for the usual printed parts.
I settled on the SCS10Uu bearing housing as a key to bolting all the aluminium pieces together. I used about 1M of 25 x 12mm al bar and 1.8M of 3mm thick 25mm eq angle.
I used opposing hooks for a display bracket and a chopped down angle d=grinder key for the spool holder. Plenty of challenges, first component failure was the psu power plug on a cheapo RAMPS board which I then upgraded to some spare screw terminals. I'm also a great fan of heatsinks on power mosfets as can be seen in the RAMPS pic.
For the complete why, what and how of what i did, head on over to the build instructable. https://www.instructables.com/id/Total-Metal-Hypercube-3D-Printer-no-Printed-Parts
