Modelo 3D FT-817 DC-Devil por DH1ND en Thingiverse

Descripción

The following instruction is only useful for electrically talented people. No liability is assumed for damages resulting from this!

The angled plug is used for the power supply of the Yaesu FT-817 and is fixed with a thumbscrew (please remove first the existing grounding screw on the back of the device). The cable used is 2x0.75 mm². If necessary, thinner cable must be wrapped with an insulating tape to ensure a secure hold. The required part of a DC plug (1.7 mm / 4.0 mm / 9.5 mm straight design) (http://www.reichelt.de/DC-Jacks/HS-17-10/3/index.html?ACTION=3&LA=446&ARTICLE=109565&GROUPID=7488&artnr=HS+17-10&SEARCH=HS%2B17-10) is screwed and the connections are shortened to 3 mm. The cable is stripped and soldered approx. 2mm per contact. Before tightening the cover, it is advisable to check the contacts for short-circuit and then secure with a drop of adhesive. In total, an M3x10mm screw, three M3x6mm screws and associated nuts are required.

A fuse (2A ) is inserted into the positive line to protect the radio. The universal fuse holder is suitable for holding 5x20mm (European standard) as well as for 6.3x32mm (US standard) fuse. The contacts to the fuse are realized via 5cm bare wire and fixed by a node (see IMG_1372_1.jpg). Optionally, polarity reversal and overvoltage protection can be realized with a suppressor diode (see circuit diagram.jpg).

Special thanks to Peter, VK3YE for the inspiration on youtube (Less stress for your FT817's external power connector).
