Descrição
This is a stand for a standard 2.5" Hard Drive with USB3.0 to SATA adapter.
I had an old Seagate (don't really like Seagate) Laptop Hard Drive laying around from my Sister-in-Law's laptop, HP (don't really like HP) that crapped out due to bad/cold solder joints on the CPU (A common program, I came to discover, for that model).
Well, Windows 10 Backup to a NAS (Network Attached Storeage) fails for me after about a 1 week. Don't know why. Had to reset the backup three times over the course of a couple months before I gave up.
So I decided to put that old Seagate HD to use as my backup drive. And I need a case for it.
Bought a used Seagate USB3.0 to SATA adapter for it so I could just plug it right into my laptop and backup to it (turns out you need a VERY short USB3.0 cable otherwise there's just not enough power to keep the HD going during the backup...)
I designed this case around those specs, so I'm not sure if it will work with any other Drive/Adapter combo.
Just for fun, I designed this to be printed in 'Vase' mode (Spiralized) so it would have very thin walls. Plus I used Translucent Blue, so I can see all the goodies inside (and the blinky light when its running).
You can still print this solid if you wish....
