My proudest memory as a child was when my master teacher, my Dad, and I made an astonishing Pinewood Derby car from scratch, fully painted in detail. We spent much of the evening working on it, until I fell asleep. We competed in a local town race, and of course I didn’t win. It was too heavy, and I may have over painted it. However, I won the craft trophy. It was amazing, and my happiest memory as a child. “We did it Dad! We won!”
