Descrição
This is a mount for an LCD keypad that I'm intending to use with the excellent SJFW firmware on my mendelmax. There is also a position for a small piece of vero board to mount connectors and resisters for the LEDs etc.
The two large holes are 20mm diameter and will take a standard illuminated automotive switch as found on ebay, one will be used for the printer on/off and the second will control the strips of LEDs I will fit along the inside of the frame for printing in the dark :-). The five small holes on the bottom right are for LEDs to show when the heated bed and hot end etc are active with space to the left for labels.
The keypad is sticky backed, and there is a small slot for the ribbon cable.
This is also one of the largest single objects I have printed as it only just fits on my prusa.
Switches have arrived, see the new picture.
Instruções
- Print it ;-)
- Bolt in LCD with 4 off M3 x 20mm bolts plus nuts and washers
- Cut a piece of vero board, 40mm x 100mm and drill 4 holes with a spacing of 20mm by 90mm
- Drill the four PCB mounting points to fit 4 small self tapping screws, and mount the vero board
- Drill the five LED positions to match your LED, mine will be blue 3mm
I haven't got this far yet, as the parts haven't arrived...
- Glue the LEDs in position with a hot glue gun
- Push the two large switches into position, they should be self fixing
- Connect everything back up.
