The current version of the Plato headset has three electrodes, utilizing a type of neurostimulation called transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS). The electrodes are fully programmable (anode, cathode, or no stimulation), allowing for advanced stimulation through a systematic activation of the electrodes using pre-programmed stimulation protocols. The system consists of the Plato headset and a smartphone app. With the app the user choose between different modes, which are then delivered as neurostimulation with the Plato headset. The neurostimulation modulates the brain activity, using micro currents, similar to the natural electrical signals in the brain.
