Few years ago I transform a laptop screen into a stand-alone screen buying a pack witch has some buttons to control the volume, menu, power, etc. It has like a pincer plate to fit on the side of the display screen.

I share with you the model I have made in Onshape. Here is the link to the Onshape file so you can copy it and modify for your own purpose. (I will modify it so that the pieces are not so tight).
