There are lots of designs for wood e-pipes, but I, not into working with wood. This pipe uses an 18350 battery and magnets to hold the cap on.

I'll add to this as I can. I used 3mm x 1.5mm rare earth magnets to hold the lid on. The switch button is a 1/2" shaft cap ( like you find holding wagon wheels on a kids wagon). Spring I bought from madvapes. The connector is an ego again from madvapes.
