Instruções
I used "cardboard pads" for the raw material. Guessing this is a standard industrial product? There are various sizes available, but 12 inches by 9 inches was the biggest that would fit in my laser cutter... so that determined the layout of these files. Bales of 50 pads cost about $10, which makes each triangle cost about 4 cents.
The cardboard pads have 2 walls with flutes in between (the corrugation). The flute width is also more or less the minimum feature size.
The pictures show models of most of the Archimedean solids, at least those whose faces are triangles, squares, pentagons, or hexagons. The video shows how to connect individual pieces to make polyhedra.
