En una producción conjunto entre FAB LAB BRC y Bariloche Sustentable, y difundiendo el trabajo de Alejandro Sarmiento, diseñamos esta herramienta mediante tecnología de fabricación digital que genera hilos¨ de plástico a partir de las botellas PET. El plástico PET tiene propiedades de resistencia mecánica, durabilidad, y capacidad de contracción mediante calor, que lo hacen un material sumamente funcional. El objetivo es encontrar nuevas aplicaciones que permitan reutilizar las botellas de gaseosas, siendo consientes que no es una solución definitiva al problema que generan estos desechos pero si una alternativa más. In a collaborative production between Bariloche Sustentable and FAB LAB BRC, and disseminating the work of Alejandro Sarmiento, we designed this tool with digital manufacturing technology that produces plastic threads from PET bottles. PET plastics have mechanical strength, durability, and heat-shrinkability, that make it a highly functional material. The goal is to find new applications that allow reuse soda bottles, being aware that it is not a definitive solution to the problem that generate these wastes but yet an alternative.
