I needed a panel mounted usb port for my 3D printer, so I whipped up this simple holder for a through-hole USB B jack.

Just chop off the unneeded end of any USB cable and solder the stripped wires to the appropriate pins on the jack. I added a small amount of hot glue to mine to isolate everything and a zip-tie for strain relief. Hold in place with two 6-32 fasteners and enjoy!
