Descrição
I love my K-Cup coffee maker, and I like to pack my own K-Cups. I got my best results with the Java Jig, but the filters are kind of expensive. Standard coffee filters are much cheaper so I set out to create this press to crimp and resize standard coffee filters for the Java Jig.
I got my best results with the 3060 model as it had a steeper angle to the sides. Let me know how you like it, or if you can make any improvements.
See the instructions and images on how to use this press.
Instruções
NOTE: The pressure in a Keurig is too great for single-ply coffee filters. Either use 2 layers of Mr Coffee style round filters, or the funnel style filters (left folded) for best results.
- Place the coffee filter over the base
- Push wedge shaped piece down the center, pressing the filter in between.
NOTE: the wedge will slide and align with the teeth in the base. - While holding the filter locked in the press, tear waste filter toward the center. The teeth of the press will facilitate tearing.
- Remove completed filter from the press and use in your Java Jig
