Descrição
This is the badge the Hack a Day team wore around CES and gave away to a few people. You can see the posts here: http://hackaday.com/2010/01/08/ces-update-makerbot-gets-a-badge/ and here: http://hackaday.com/2010/01/09/ces-update-ces-badges/
Here is the how-to post on how the badge was created in OpenSCAD: http://hackaday.com/2010/01/11/how-to-make-a-printable-ces-badge/
Now everyone can show that they read hackaday.com with this custom-designed badge. It takes a little over an hour to print and the wrenches are pretty much guaranteed to pull up and/or warp the build surface.
Instruções
1: Download the stl file. 2: Skeinforge said stl file. 3: The stl is not centered in the y direction so you will need to setup the build platform about 1cm towards the back from the center of the build platform if you have a Cupcake CNC. 4: This build has a huge initial surface area and will attempt to foil its own creation by pulling up. You will need to recite incantations, sacrifice dust bunnies in a fiery cauldron of acetone, whatever it takes, just don't get mad at your machine when your print starts to pull up. 5: Remove from the build platform and raft. 6: Attach a bar pin to the back with hot glue or epoxy. 7: Allow glue to cool/cure/dry. 8: Proudly wear upon your getup to show you read Hack a Day!
