Descrição
A height, angle, and position adjustable stand. Can hold a book, magazine, tablet, drink, or small plate. Extrusion used is 2020 V-Slot. I printed this in PETG.
Needed: 1.6 meters of 2020 V-Slot extrusion 4x 625ZZ bearings 14x M5 T-nuts 14x M5x10mm cap head bolts 2x M5x50mm cap head bolts (for pivoting joints) 2x M5x40mm cap head bolt (for vertical clamp and toothed pivot) 3-5x M5 washers 2 M5 nuts (standard)
2 Printed Nut Holders: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:641854 OR http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1177235
To build:
- Print off all parts then clean up any brim or bridged sections. Clean printed holes with a drill if desired
- Epoxy the two plate pieces together
- Cut 2020 extrusion. I used to 50cm pieces for the vertical section and two 25-30cm pieces for the base.
- Assemble the base with 10 M5x10mm bolts and T-nuts
- Tap the top of the upper vertical piece to an M5 thread or drill it to 4.5mm and force the M5 bolt to cut it's own threads (use a bit of oil).
- Press fit the bearings into the arms (make sure they go in square or the parts may crack). I used a workbench vise.
- Press the two M5 nuts into the two printed holders as well.
- Add the vertical section (see pics). Uses the remaining T-nuts and 10mm bolts plus one long bolt and M5 nut for the clamp.
- Assemble the top section (see pics). Use 3-4 washers for the middle joint and one for the connection on top of the extrusion.
- Bolt the assembly to the top of the 2020 extrusion with the tapped hole.
Optional: To add stability I added some weight to the bottom by bolting on some steel flat bar to the 2020 aluminum. It requires flat bar, T-nuts, and the appropriate length M5 bolts.
