As a mushroom fiend I found it necessary to create a printable mushroom. Unfortunately, it is not also edible. :)

It comes in two parts: the base & stem and the cap. The second cap variation is a complete redesign with improved gills.

Because the interlock mechanism is the same as build-a-wand the caps can also be used as finals.

These were printed using the default, standard settings in Makerware.

Although in principal both the base and a cap can be printed at the same time, doing so takes a long time (perhaps 20 hours) and invites errors. Printing separately also allows printing in separate colors.

This is a large model, but if printed at smaller size make sure that both cap and base are printed at the same scale. And, due to the detail for the interlock avoid printing too small. A scale of 70% has worked for other objects using this interlock.
