Descrição
This will be a one axis camera rotation system. Two of these can be combined for Pan & Tilt operations.
The parts listed below are for one rotator. Pan & Tilt operations will require twice the parts :
- 4 608 inline skate bearings http://amzn.to/1TkSVri
- 1 5070 thrust bearing is used behind the 70mm disk : http://amzn.to/1TkT6Tt
- 12 m3 nuts : http://amzn.to/1rLLpuB or http://amzn.to/1X3c4hZ
- 8 m3 50mm bolts : http://amzn.to/1W24Vzw It was easier to order long bolts and cut to length with a Dremel tool
- 4 m3 17mm bolts : http://amzn.to/1W24Vzw again order these and cut to length
- 1 32.5mm aluminum spacer : http://www.aluminumspacers.com/mas8-5-32-5
I used these for the motor mount as I was not able to get a good fit with a plastic mount. I order a bunch of other spacers and could replace the parts labeled support with 25mm long spacers from here as well. - 1 section of 5/16 steel rod sourced from home depot.
- 2 1/4-20 square nuts : http://amzn.to/1rLLfn2
- 1 Nema 17 motor w/ D shaft : http://amzn.to/1rM399a
- jb weld : http://amzn.to/1W25REb
I have two smaller gt2 drive pinion options
45 tooth will yield a 2:1 gearing and requires a 161 tooth 322mm long gt2 belt . I got mine from here - 6R51M161060 : http://shop.sdp-si.com/catalog/product/?id=A%206R51M161060
22 tooth will yield just over a 4:1 gearing and requires a 143 tooth 286mm long gt2 belt - 6R51M143060 : http://shop.sdp-si.com/catalog/product/?id=A%206R51M143060
the 45 tooth requires an idler. I may figure out the belt length for the 22 tooth with an idler as I do think its beneficial keeping more of the belt in the bit of the gear.
In the video I'm using a printed L-Bracket I designed but in the end went with these : http://amzn.to/1Y1ZZrM http://amzn.to/1W271zC http://amzn.to/1SWOALF
I find these to be much more ridged. I'm planning on replacing the Rotator Link part with one of these when I get around to redesigned the front plate to add a 1/4-20 nut as a mounting option so I can use this L-Bracket : http://amzn.to/1SUR8qz with another http://amzn.to/1Y1ZZrM
I'm planning on controlling the stepper motors with a MiniEngine Time-Lapse Controller. I use one on my time-lapse rail and combing two I can do three axis movements : http://www.minie.airiclenz.com
