Descrição
This is a fully printable mobile robot I designed and built last year. However, it wasn't very useful until Julián MarÃn Mato added some electronics and wrote some code to control it with a gamepad. Now that we can say it's finally 100% functional, we'd love you to play around with one too!
To see it in action, check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54MXA22bOmQ
There are, of course, things to be improved: using more powerful servos, strengthening some parts, adding wireless comms, etc. All that will come in the (near?) future.
Instruções
All you need to do is print out the parts and assemble! The axles are M6 bolts (with their ends cut off, because they were too long). To assemble the individual tracks, take a look at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7640. I hope the rest is (more or less) obvious. If anyone is having trouble, let me know and I'll post more detailed building instructions.
Note: The files frontframe and backframe can be printed as they are for 2 tracks, but for the other 2 you must mirror them! (the robot is symmetrical)
Note2: The servos that operate the tracks must be modified for continuous rotation!
