Descrição
This IS the droid you are looking for! (With apologies to Obi-Wan.)
Pose him by moving his arms and swiveling his head! Store small items in his hollow body! Remove him from the base to set him free! Engrave your own message using customizer! All parts are printable with no supports! What more could you ask from an Android Guy?
Customizer lets you generate individual parts or a simple single-print platen that contains all the parts in one shot. There are also two preview modes: exploded view and assembled view. (Those are not meant to be printed but show you what the assembly looks like.)
(The sample image shows four Android Guys that were made as gifts for my son's Android team at a summer program called GSET in 2012.)
There are numerous improvements over the versions on which this is based:
- The arms are movable to pose your Android Guy. No glue is needed for assembly of the arms.
- Proportions are much closer to the real Android logo.
- You can add your own text message to the little guy's chest (uses thing:16193 Write by HarlanDMii).
- Customizer support with multiple parts views.
Print one today and enjoy your own adorable Android Guy!
Instruções
Use customizer to choose a text message, size, and other parameters. The parts menu lets you select individual parts, or a full production platen with all parts. It has two modes not meant to be printed: "exploded" and "assembled" just so you can preview the little guy in all his glory.
If you have trouble inserting the arm, then heat up the hole in the body for a few seconds using a butane lighter just until it gets a little soft. Then quickly insert the arm and wait half a minute for it to cool/harden.
Glue the legs to the body if desired. If you want, you can glue the legs onto the base, or leave them loose so you can remove the base.
The head comes off so you can use this as a container.
