Oval base for the T-Rex

Made with OpenSCAD*, the rod hole has a 12 degree angle into the base, seems to work quite well, and the skull sits at a nice angle on the base

*OpenSCAD File attached (Please excuse the poor code (I'm still learning))

I'm using 9mm dowel as the rod to hold the skull
