This is a section of a dendrite from the apical dendrite field of a CA1 pyramidal cell in the rat hippocampus. This 3D model was made on the program RECONSTRUCT, in which serial section electron microscope photographs are traced to build up a three dimensional model of neural processes with a resolution of 2 nanometers.

I have printed this with huge supports using SFACT but I cannot get it to print well and look like what it does in the STL file. If any of you wizards out there knows how to work with this thing better and get it to print accurately please let me know, that would be excellent.
