This is a plug for a outlet on a Intex pool. I created it because I had a dream of running my solar pool heater on it's own pump. After 2 years of being scared of carving a extra hole in my pool, I gave it a go, while it was already full!

5% and accelerated. The project was a success. I bought some heavy duty pool vinyl and added reinforcement to the area where I wanted the hole. I did get a little wet, but I bet I did not lose more than a few gallons of water in the process. Intex pumps come with the plastic pieces and washer that is needed for each hole. I have had to replace pumps in the past, so I had a extra set. I used the outside ring as a marker and a real sharp x-acto knife to cut the hole. I used a plastic shoe box on the inside of the pool to limit the water that came out. Once cut out, I put all the parts where they needed to be and tightened them. Voila!
