PlexiDrone was a development project 2 years in the making, and lead to the creation of a crowd funding campaign that raised over $2.2 Million for this original PlexiDrone design. We are happy to announce that we are releasing the original PlexiDrone design for free to the open source community. This is just our way of saying thanks to all the makers and our supporters!
2 years of product development...that is a lot of soldering, pitching to retailers, design time, flight time, interviewing film makers, photographers, cleaning out 3D printer jams, and pitching to investors. The result of our work was a product that even today has innovative and unique features to offer, such as,
> A modular snap-fit payload bay, > voice alerts, > GPS follow me, > quick release detachable landing gear, > quick release detachable arms, > obstacle avoidance with ultra-sonic sensors, and > a custom portable hard-shell and soft case backpack for easy travel
