Once in a while all panic has broken loose. Installing an Emergency Stop Button should have been done earlier. Now it’s in, I have something to whack when all goes wrong:O)

Made in black to hide under the Makerbot shelf. Comes with method of securing mains wiring.

This sits in the middle of the mains wire for the Makerbot, allowing it to be turned off when really, really needed.

Print all 3 bits. Install a 22mm diameter EMS button. Unplug mains lead. Cut lead in 2. Thread through back plate. Crimp Earth and Neutral wires back together. Solder live wire across the normally closed terminals of switch. Screw together with M3s. Attach to shelf. Whack to test.
