2/8/2026:

Updated the pictures of the model to show the various ways that i have begun using these.

Added a shelled 2x2 - 4x4 SMD storage model. This uses 50% less filament and holds nearly double the components

I learned that with my single extruder printer, i can have the print stop at the height of the lip and swap out the color to have color coding to these bins! I have also used the model to create a pill bottle for the week with embedded colored text.

Was able to reduce the amount of plastic being used by 25% and made the container cells bigger to hold more parts!

Found some bugs in the model, fixed bad dimensioning and added some more user controls in the parameters

I found this model for a gridfinity SMD component storage system and was excited that they included a fusion 360 file. I dug around and made the file completely parameterized in fusion 360. now you can change the gridfity cell size as well as how many individual containers there are. Then just export to your favorite slicer and away you go!

Here are a couple of examples that would not be generated by the original file with 0.15mm clearance:

4x2 base, 8x1 bins, ½ height (bins of this size easily hold through hole components)

2x2 base, 2x3 bins, ⅓ height

2x2 base, 2x1 bins, full height

4x1 base, 7x1 bins, ½ height (could be used as a pill container)

4x4 base, 1x1 bin, ½ height

***IMPORTANT USE NOTE***

The only other thing you will have to edit is the fillet at the last row of bins for the lids. I was unable to get this feature to tesselate correctly so you will have to go back and manually change these fillits to be 2.1mm:
