Descrição
A replacement cradle/stand for a Logitech Squeezebox Duet remote controller.
Print Settings
I printed these with fairly default “normal” settings in Cura. My printer has a 0.6mm nozzle and everything seemed to turn out okay — nothing is super critical so use your print defaults.
Hardware Required
- 2x M2.5x10 countersunk screws
- 4x M3x8 countersunk screws
- 3.7mm diameter (or alternative USB cable) for power
- Self-adhesive feet
Assembly Instructions
- Print the stand
- Laser cut the base plate (DXF attached, I made mine out of 3mm thick stainless steel for weight)
- Cut wire to a suitable length & strip approximately 10mm from positive and negative
- Insert the wire into the smaller screw holes for the contacts
- Note: the negative terminal is on the left as you look at the bottom of the cradle, see photo for example.
- Thread M2.5 screws into smaller screw holes alongside wire — this forms the electrical contacts
- Carry on screwing in M2.5 screws until approximately 3.5mm protrudes from the bottom of the controller cradle opening (this depth isn't super critical but both need to be the same length)
- Run wire in slot in base plate, secure with a small dab of glue
- Screw base plate onto bottom using M3 screws
- Add self-adhesive feet to bottom plate.
Files
I have provided an STL ready for slicing, Autodesk Fusion 360 F3D file of the project, a STEP file and finally a DXF of the base cover plate.
