Modelo 3D Modular ESP32 CAM Case + Mount por GoMorko no Printables

Descrição

Another case for ESP32Cam.

Originally I needed one to remotely overlook my resin printer - tight space, hard to find a robust spot without the cam getting in the way.

This resulted in various solutions and mounts to keep the damn cam in place somewhere in the grow tent, in front the printer or in the printer itself. Measure once cut twice scenario… But with this collection you don’t need to measure at all, just eye it, build, test, brake, rebuild. Without need to go back to design software or wait for new mount to finish printing.

Use different sized arms, joints, rails, blocks insertable into case (like a little lego) to build perfect solution.

The collection includes printable pins, but these are mainly usefull for “development” part, the “production” ready mount should be put together with glue and M2.5 screws.

Pins have rather tight fit and when trying to take them out (sometimes with plies) they might brake. they’re mostly for fast prototyping. In the end result you’d want to use proper M2.5 screws to hold the structure together.

Especially foldable arms work much better with screws instead pins (which don’t offer good resistance).

Blocks fit more or less nicely but for the final result I’d think it will be better to glue them in.

With the same parts we can get a stand:

Or a handle mount on a sliding rail:

Rail fit depends on the printing orientation - horizontal seems to provide smooth sliding, while vertical locks in more easily under weight of the cam (ie. because of how filaments layers are stacked).

Print:

  • use “outer inner” order of walls for better dimensional accuracy
  •
  • Case: flat on the bed
  • Arms: on a side (the holes are modelled with a small notch which should face upwards)
  • Joints: flat on the bed
  • Pins (and Heads): standing on their head
  • Blocks: Holes and Inserts must face UP.
    • Some blocks have holes for screw, which similarly to Arms has a notch which should face upwards.
  • Rails: horizontal seems to provide smooth sliding, while vertical locks in more easily under weight of the cam.
