I didn't have much M4 threaded rod on hand, or knurled thumb screws, so I reworked a design to use cheaper and more common hardware.

For this project, you'll need

• M4x25mm screws (14)
• M4 hex nuts (14 or 25 if you're also printing the thumb nuts)
• M4x100mm threaded rod (2)
• M3x10mm screws (12)
• M3 hex nuts (12)
• M5x55mm screws for clamps (2)
• M5 hex nuts for clamps (2)

Assembly should be pretty straightforward.  M4 nuts go in the recesses on the threaded studs, and use M4x25 screws to hold them to the frames.  M4 nuts go in the spacers, and M4x25 screws go in them.  Then thread the spacers onto the studs.

I've successfully printed this at .2 layer height with a .4 nozzle and .25 layer height with a .6 nozzle.

The frames and the spacers will need supports.  For the spaces, you should only need supports on the bed, as the threads should print fine without any supports.

Also note that the thumb nuts are captive.  You'll need to pause the print at the top of the nut cavity and insert the nuts.  When the print resumes, it'll enclose the nuts.

Update Dec 31, 2024:
I've re-worked the frame a bit to print in two pieces for each side instead of three, fixing a couple of little things with it, including some missing recesses for the frame screws. The parts fit on most non-mini printers.  If you choose to use the V2 frames, you'll only need 4 M3x10mm screws, and 4 M3x10mm hex nuts.
