Descrição
One side of a minnow trap.
I recommend using v2, it is higher resolution and less vertices because the edges are chamfered instead of filleted
How to use:
- Print 2 of the Minnow trap sides (or one side and the cover)
- Connect the two sides of the minnow trap with string or zip ties
- Place bait (dog food, bread, chicken, etc.) inside the trap through the large hole connected to the funnel
- Place the trap in the water (slow-flowing water is good, but still is fine too)
- Leave the trap for some time, more time usually means more minnows (occasionally some crawdads)
- Remove the trap and place the minnows in a bait bucket (project link coming soon here)
- Repeat all steps
other information
Any filament should work especially if stored inside.
Bright or reflective colors can help attract minnows, but they are not necessary.
You are not guaranteed minnows every time you use the trap.
Scale the model depending on what size minnows you want. The attached model is 143mm wide, the entrance hole is 36mm, and the hexagonal holes are 7mm.
