The Exshtender

Raises the shelf of Kibbutz Lavi Synagogue Seating System by a few inches
- It's surprising what a difference those few inches makes in increasing the readability of my siddur
Similar in function to Lavi's multi-position shelf latch
- Should work with all existing Lavi Classic Series installations

On one end, there is a foot that rotates +/- 15°
On the other end, is the grip which rotates from 0° to 64°
- The bottom of the grip is the jaws which attach to the lip / bookstop of the shelf
- On the top of the grip are the thumb tabs, which you push together to open the jaws when you attached the Exshtender™ to the shelf
Connecting the foot and the grip is the main body

Fold the shelf down
Pushing the thumb tabs together, slip the jaws over the lip / bookstop of the shelf
- Place the Exshtender™ toward the side of the shelf, so that it isn't covered by your siddur
Release the thumb tabs – the Exshtender™ should now have a firm grip on the lip / bookstop
Close the shelf
Lift the back of the shelf, and move the arm that is inside the storage compartment into the upright position
Raise the front of the shelf – the Exshtender™ should rotate into place automatically
- You may need to give the Exshtender™ a little help the first few times until the joint loosens

I have only ever printed these in PET-G
- If you use another material, such as PLA, please let me know how it works for you
If the foot shifts off the bed before, put supports under the foot only
Getting the tolerances correct for the “Lego” in the middle of the main body is really tricky and varies from printer to printer. I find that if you activate “Fuzzy Skin” in your slicer, it corrects the problem
- I only activate fuzzy skin for the six pegs using PrusaSlicer's Add Modifier>Box feature
