This buckle can be used with 25mm (roughly 1.in) strap in order to make it a sturdy tie down fastener. Makes it easy to attach stuff to your backpack, like sleeping bags, mats and jackets. Also great for straping your bag together in order to reduce its size if its packed with “airy” stuff.
The parts can be used as an easy emergency repair if your backbacks shoulder strap buckle breaks. In this case it is an direct replacement and needs no needles or stitching.
If you fancy, it can also be used as a functional belt
