I wanted to add a USB-C header to the patch panel on my homelab server but was very disappointed in all of the existing offerings online.  Most seemed like total garbage (running at USB 2.0 speeds, not reversible, etc).

In the end I opted to just use a known good off the shelf USB-C extension cable and design a little keystone housing for it.  The cable is press fit into the printed part and held in place with a drop of super glue.  I've been running this on my server for a few years now with no issues.
