I recently purchased a new iPad Mini 6th Generation and needed a case for it.  Otterbox currently does not make one for it and I didn't like the available cases so I designed one for myself.

Notes about this design:

It does NOT support the finger print reader 

It does NOT support magnetic attachment of the Apple Pencil

The published files are slightly modified from what is in the pictures. Namely the hole in the back of the case to allow tap on the Apple.

There is no protection for the screen so recommend using a tempered glass screen protector.

Printing Instructions:

Bottom--PETG or ABS, no supports needed. I printed with 0.6mm nozzle at 0.3mm resolution.

Top Ring--PETG or ABS, invert before slicing (put the top lip on the print bed), no supports needed.  Again, I printed with 0.6mm nozzle at 0.3mm resolution.

Button Support--this is only used as a support for the flex cover buttons, it will be thrown away (recycled) afterward so material and resolution don't matter.  I used PLA, 0.6mm at 0.3mm resolution.

TPU Cover--requires support BUT I did not want to mess with removing TPU supports so I developed a workaround, see below.

When slicing, add 2 pauses.  First pause at roughly 6.2mm, before the inner buttons are printed.  Second pause at roughly 14.3mm, before the lip is printed.  Actual height may change based on resolution you are printing.

Print using TPU or FLEX.  I printed with 0.6mm nozzle at 0.3mm resolution.  

At the first pause, take the button support (rectangle bar) and cover the top surface with one layer of painters tape then cover the tape with stick glue so it removes easily. Place the bar in the TPU cover and tape in place.  (see photos for placement, the bar is white in the pic) Continue printing until the second pause.

At the second pause, remove the button support.  Take the Top Ring, cover the top lip with painters tape and stick glue.  Insert the Top Ring into the TPU Cover and continue printing.

When the cover it finished printing, remove the top ring and remove the painters tape.

Gcode included for TPU Cover only for both 0.6mm nozzle at 0.3mm resolution and 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2mm resolution with pauses in at the proper height using my settings for Overture TPU.

Printing is complete and the case is ready.
