Descrição
This is a mod to use inverted electronics with the Trinity Printer. I have installed this, but have not tested it extensively, so consider it a work in progress until I log a few hundred print hours with it. There are a number of models I used for ideas, however this is technically a remix of the trinity step files.
This mod will cause you to lose Z height! I haven’t got the printer fully built, but I imagine there is a loss of roughly 20mm in height. This dimension doesn’t matter to me personally, as most of what I print never goes higher than 100mm.
Some other changes I made:
- extended the corner brackets higher to give more support
- modified the mount to support the holes while printing
- embedded the trinity logo in the base plate
- the corner uprights now use an M5 on the bracket to support the extrusion
- the z motor mounts all use M5s to attach to the frame extrusion
- modified the corner brackets to allow an M6 for the upright extrusion end tap; either M5 or M6 will work for this
You will also need the brackets from this mod. Print two of each:
- Inverted_DIN_Mount_x2.stl
- Inverted_DIN_Mount(Mirror)_x2.stl
From the voron trident, you will need:
- wire_cover_left.stl or wire_cover_right.stl from the Panels directory (depending on how you orient things)
- deck_support_3mm_optional_x6.stl from the ElectronicsBay directory (I print extras because I find them handy)
Installation is fairly straightforward - install the corner brackets first, then the front extrusions, then the z motor holders. Install an M4 heatsert into each corner to hold the skirt in place (see last pic).
I’m in the Trinity discord if you have any questions - please post to the build help section!
