The bevel angle finder is an indispensable tool for woodworking, consisting of two legs connected at one end and free to move at the other end. It allows for precise angle measurement, transfer, as well as marking of exact cuts and corners. It's my reliable companion for small projects both at home and in my workshop.

For this project, I designed a small but functional bevel angle finder that perfectly meets my needs. The handle is 180 mm long, while the angle leg extends over 250 mm. To prevent unwanted 45° angle formation, I made an adjustment: the base of the handle was modified so that it no longer automatically rests on the workpiece when the angle leg is flat. 

I initially printed the locking knobs with a fill of 100% after one broke with only 15% infill. NOTE: The friction in the thread is pretty high in the beginning. To smoothen it out I sprayed a bit of WD40 into the thread and worked my way through the thread. Take the two minutes, it works like a charm.

Over time, I will determine which infill percentage proves to be optimal. The current handle was printed with a fill of 20%. Due to its flat shape, the angle leg was printed solid.

To reduce friction when turning the knob, I uploaded a washer file to make adjusting the bevel angle way easier.
