Greetings fellow Helldivers,
since I found my ability to hit the right buttons in the heat of battle sometimes unworthy of our beloved Super Earth, I designed these keycaps for some of the Strategems which are either most used, time-critical or where the code is just too long. They are meant to fit on the Romer-G switches used by Logitech and are specifically made to be used with RGB lights.
I also attached the blank file so you can make your own if you like ;)
Instructions:
I used a resin printer since the writing is pretty small. Without it you might be able to do it on a FFF machine. After printing, washing and curing, I filled the recesses with white acrylic paint. Not the best, but it works. You don't have to be accurate as you will sand them down later. After the paint has fully dried (might need more than one coat), I sanded the surplus paint off until I had a nice finish. After that I put the caps face-down on a non-stick piece of something, in my case a textured aluminum plate, and filled some hot-glue in the holes from the back, just enough to fill the holes without inhibiting the cap. And that's it, they are ready to go on your macro keys and to help you fight for LIBERTY!
Sidenote: If you have difficulties getting the hot-glue where it's supposed to go, you can half-ass the job and put them face-down on a heated printbed. Turn the heat up to around 100 °C and let the glue flow in all the nooks and crannies.
