Descrição
This is a companion tool for the Raspberry Pi Camera Wrench to help keeping the cam in place while turning the lens.
Second go on trying to refocus the raspberry pi camera to work better as a webcam with octoprint, inspired by the description give by modmike in [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2886101](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2886101). I had actually destroyed a cam on my first attempt by using metallic tools
So I knew to only use plastic tools this time and printed a wrench from [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1570865](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1570865).
While my cam has v1.3 printed on the board it still required the V2 side of the wrench. The tool helped a lot but it still was frustrating, because I could never turn the lens with keeping the little cam in place, it would always get torn out of its tiny contact and then octoprint wouldnt recognize it after reinserting, showing a black rectangle with "loading..." or an explicit error message.
And there appears to be no soft way to reset the camera, so that meant rebooting the raspi and wait for octoprint to reload and then it's still out of focus and I'm not sure if worse or better - agonizing.
Clearly I needed a second tool to hold the cam in place while using the wrench and this is, what you'll find here. I cut one side of a wrench mtowara posted to make it thinner and flat on one side and I cut a square just a little larger than the camera modul. With it I finally saw the current change and managed to focus the cam.
I put the freeCad source next to the stl so you can adapt the size of the square should it not fit the cam you have in hands.
