Supplies needed:

• gourd body (1)
• gourd nose cone (1)
• gourd launch lug (1)
• thin round elastic cord
• a piece of paper
• a model rocket streamer or strip of nylon fabric about 2" wide
• CA superglue
• clear tape
• recovery wadding

Instructions:

1. Print the body, nose cone, and launch lug.
2. Sand the nose cone shoulder as needed for a smooth fit.
3. Glue the launch lug to the rocket body between two fins.
4. Cut an Estes-style shock cord mount from the sheet of paper.
5. Glue and fold the paper over the cord like in the Estes rockets.
6. Glue the shock cord mount into the rocket body, using a pencil to hold it in place while the glue sets
7. Double knot the shock cord to the nose cone.
8. Lay the shock cord over the streamer so that about 1" is past the end.
9. Use a piece of clear tape to stick the streamer to the shock cord.
10. Fold the short end of the streamer over, and tape it again.
11. Loosely crumple 1-2 sheets of wadding and insert them into the body tube.
12. Fold and roll the streamer and insert it into the body tube.
