I wanted a hat stand for my Australian “Akubra” hat.  The hat deforms quickly if stored on a flat surface.

Using Harry_D60's design from Thingiverse as inspiration (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3065011), I designed a two-part hat stand that can be printed without any support material.  The two parts simply screw together with the coarse printed threads.

I printed my first one in Copper PLA (probably not quite the look I was after - but oh well!):

• PLA or PETG will work just fine,
• 0.2mm layer height, but layer height is not critical,
• 2 perimeters
• 15% infill (grid - but just about any of the usual non-flexible patterns would suffice),
• no support material required,
• no skirts or brims,
• 5 top layers and 4 bottom layers (my slicer defaults).

I printed on my Prusa XL.  I've included a print file for that, as well as print files for the individual parts (Base and Ring) for those who have trouble fitting the two parts on their print beds.

I've included 3mf and STL files of the Base and Ring, as well as STEP files if anyone wants to fool around with them.  The “Hat Stand Print” 3mf file is both parts laid out on a Prusa XL Printer.
