Disclaimer
This project is presented AS IS.
I'm not responsible for any damage possibly occuring to your hardware.
I'm not a professional, just a dude on the Internet willing to share.
The Name
Why "mochi", you say? I like to name my hardware after japanese dishes :).
The Case
This is a compact and minimalistic mini-ITX PC case, aimed to low-profile motherboards.
You can customize the panel colors as you wish, to make it unique.
The source STEP file is included if you want to remix it.
Build Notes
You'll need:
- a mini-itx motherboard, with CPU, RAM, Cooler and NVMe storage
- a Pico PSU (the 90W one for my hardware, but YMMV)
- a 12V/2.5A power adapter
- an ATX power button (12mm wide)
- 10 M3 screws & nuts (8mm recommended, to avoid overlaps with the motherboard)
some fine mesh (metal or fabric) for dust filtering on the ventilation holes.
Due to the small clearance in the rear-lower-right corner (near the I/O shield), you may need a bit of glue to keep the panels aligned.
Testing
During my tests, the system at full load (I5@3.6Ghz CPU, 16Gb RAM) reached a peak temperature of 55°C, with the Noctua fan barely audible. Again, YMMV.
Have fun !
