Ever wanted to put gridfinity EVERYWHERE?

Of course you have! You're on this website.

But I couldn't find any way to attach a Gridfinity baseplate to an Ikea Ivar pole. So I made one!

Instructions:

• Print two pins and one base unit. The base unit should probably be aligned so the diagonal support is flat on the bed; this does still require a little support material, but not a ton. The 3mf is already set up in the recommended configuration.
• Insert the pins into your Ikea Ivar, with the cutouts aligned to press into the sawtooth pattern.
• Slide the base unit onto the Ikea Ivar and press the sawtooths into the pins.

If you want it on the other side of the post, just mirror it in your slicer.

For the sake of cosmetics, the base is exactly flush with the pole, both on the side and in the front.

The unit will sustain a surprising amount of weight - it's got four full battery units in the photo without sagging or twisting.
