This is a case for the Otvinta Servo-Driven Digital Clock.

After converting the original to use Arduino I wanted a case to put the clock into to contain everything. See my remixed parts thing for links and description here.

You will need a large printer for the case. I used a CR-10S modified with a E3D Titan Aero, Volcano and 0.8mm nozzle. So you'll probably want a 300x300x400 printer. The case is designed to use the existing screw holes in the clock frame, which helps hold the two halves together. You need M3x18 or M3x20 countersunk screws for these.

All holes are sized for using heat press brass inserts with M3 screws. The rear has raised bumps where stand-offs can be installed to mount the Arduino Mega 2560 and real time clock. There is also a block piece which can be glued to the case behind the DC jack to stop the cover deforming.

Note that the case covers are two part STL files with the intention being to apply specific slicer settings to the section in the middle. In my case I turned off the top and bottom layers there to expose the infill to create the grill without having to have this in the model. You can adjust your infill density to control how fine the grill is.

The Otvinta clock is a great build and lots of fun, I highly recommend it as an enjoyable build. Please support the original author so they can continue to put out such great projects.
