This is a model for a foot switch designed to work with sonoff mini form factor to make become smart old appliances like lamps with inline switches.

You can use either a Sonoff Mini or MiniR2. there are 2 different variants to print depending on what type of switch you have. Being a foot switch I thought of using 2 cherry MX switches:

These are functioning as momentary buttons and guide for the upper portion of the foot switch as you can see in the next photo:

I tested the boxes with these 2 types of Sonoff:

These are held in place with just some printed guides with a tight fit:

The ending of the cables are screwed into the box with a printed thread, so you can easily remix through the STEP files the diameter you prefer. I am providing dimensions from 4 to 7 mm and also with a buttonhole. Pay attention the thread is fine so you have to calibrate your printer right to make it work, and might be tight. You maybe could compensate the dimension in the slicer to make it more loose.

I printed the box in PLA but will be switching for something flame retardant and possibly ABS.

To close the box you have to use 2 thread inserts M3x4x5 as used in the Voron printers.

Sliced:

• Layer Height: 0.2mm
• Layer Width: 0.4mm Forced
• Perimeters: 3
• Top/Botton: 4 Layers
• Infill: 30% (Not tried but 20 will work)

Hardware to complete:

• Sonoff Mini/MiniR2/MiniR2-L
• 2 thread inserts M3X4X5 or longer if you want
• 2 BHCS M3x6 orM3x8 screws. Everything shorter than 15mm will work
