This was a commisioned design for my father who asked me, if I could print him some wind indicators he wanted to give away as presents. As I am not playing Mahjongg, I cannot further explain the use of this. The cube can be inserted into the holder to display any of the geographic directions E(ast), S(outh), W(est) and N(orth).

The cube has an edge length of 20 mm and the holder has a diameter of 45 mm.

As generally a fillet looks and feels better than a chamfer on an item like this, it was the natural choice. However, inverted chamfers are easier to print than fillets. Therefore I tried both and included both versions in this model. So you can choose for yourself…

The cube fits into the holder with only little space - for my MK3s it is fine and works but you might consider scaling the holder up slightly.

Otherwise the print should be straight forward.

I used PLA, 10% infill, no supports.
