Stable Micrometer-Stand
I have built myself a stand to make it easier to use my micrometer.
A piece of flat steel is embedded in the base plate so that the stand is stable and has a decent weight. To prevent the stand from sliding back and forth on the table, I glued 4 rubber feet under the base-plate.
I have two micrometers, one of which has a bracket about 12mm thick, while the electronic one is only about 10mm thick. So that I can use both micrometers in my stand, I have made an jaw-adapter for the thinner micrometer.
