Background

Over the last couple years, I came across a number of companies offering (disassembled) tech displayed in picture frames; usually featuring some key specifications.

I really like the idea and looks, and decided to turn some of my old PC components into nice wall-art. Instead of them lying around in the basement, this honours some of our most loyal companions with a 2nd life :)

This series is about attachment brackets/supports, that help you fixating various PC components. Especially to display them in picture frames but I guess you define the use case!

Description

This printable features a bracket to hold CPUs. The bracket can be glued onto paper or any other base material from picture frames.

The CPU needs to be glued into the bracket at the two corners, that make contact with the bracket. A minimum amount of superglue is sufficient. The bracket can then be glued onto the background sheet with four small superglue drops as well.

CPUs that are still covered in thermal paste or other residue can easily be cleaned with Isopropylalcohol (Isopropanol). To remove superglue from plastic, use simple vegetable oil or a moisturizer creme.

An A4 file for the background is included, though only for the AMD FX 8350 specs.

You can easily create your own one with Powerpoint or Word.
Unfortunately, I cannot attach Adobe Indesign files.

Printed in PETG (Bambu PETG Basic), though I guess any form of PLA will work fine as well.
