I was searching for a small thread stand for the few spools that tend to float around my sewing desk. I liked Jakwit's design, but it was too large, and I wanted longer spool holders.

I used the longer thread holders by Hallslys to size up the existing holders, which worked out perfectly.

Could probably lose a 1/2" on each side, which would also use a little bit less filament, but this works for now.
