My kids wanted mini Minecraft tools. The easy answer would be to print the fantastic models by GSAMakerspace on Thingiverse (10 years ago!), but ~~I have an XL and I wanted them in color~~ my kids demanded diamond variants. My next inspiration came from this remake of the GSAMakerspace ones, but after painting them in PrusaSlicer, they weren't slicing well and they were weak along the pixel edges. So I made my own in Fusion 360.

The design goals were:

• Stay true to the pixel dimensions (Thanks Fandom wiki!)
• Strong adhesion between the colors (pixel design makes this hard)
• Scalable size
• Use multiple bodies to aid in multi-color printing rather than painting in PrusaSlicer

I achieved this by coring out the middle and making it a solid color. See the screenshots from Fusion and then the slicer to see what I mean. By not having every pixel be separate for the full height, there are some perimeters that are continuous all the way through the part. 

To print, download the 3mf files and open in PrusaSlicer. They will appear as a merged set of bodies. I printed in 4 colors, but you can re-assign the bodies to fewer tools to match what you have available. Due to the colored perimeters, it will scale down to 50% provided you use fairly opaque filaments or the internal color is light. It should scale as large as you want. Normal size is 3.6mm/"pixel".

STEP files are included for remixing. I included one Fusion 360 file if you want to see how I went about making these. I'm proud of my base grid design and extruding bodies. It made iterating through all the tools fairly fast. Pixel size is a parameter you can adjust to scale the whole thing.

I tested loading the 3mf files in OrcaSlicer as well and they appear to load correctly. I do not have a Bambu printer so I was not able to test through a print though.
